Algeria shines at the International Halal Culinary Competition (IN2HCC 2026) in Jakarta through Chef Soumia Khalfallah

Algerian chef Ms. Soumia Khalfallah, member and representative of Algeria at the International Federation of Islamic World Chefs, and President of the "Zohrat El Madain for Arts and Youth Creations" Association, participated as a jury member in the International Halal Culinary Competition (IN2HCC 2026), held in Jakarta from October 14 to 18, 2026. Her professional expertise contributed to evaluating the contestants' work, highlighting the strong presence of Algerian talent in international panels for specialized culinary events.

Alongside her judging duties, Ms. Khalfallah helped promote Algerian culinary arts by preparing traditional dishes and presenting a showcase of traditional sweets at a dedicated booth. The display highlighted the richness and diversity of Algeria's national heritage, allowing participants and visitors to discover the authenticity of Algerian cuisine. On this occasion, she was also honored at the Indonesia Halal Culinary Awards during the closing ceremony, which was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Algeria in Jakarta to support national talents and value their contribution to showcasing Algerian cultural heritage.
