Embassy of Algeria in Jakarta Participates in the Jakarta Muslim-Friendly Tourism Forum and Highlights National Tourism Potential

As part of the efforts of the Embassy of Algeria in Jakarta to promote national tourism potentials and explore prospects for enhancing tourism cooperation between Algeria and Indonesia, Ms. Salma Harouche, First Secretary at the Embassy, participated on August 31, 2026, in the "Jakarta Muslim-Friendly Tourism Forum 2026," organized by the Jakarta branch of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies Association (AITTA), in cooperation with the Jakarta Capital City Government's Tourism and Creative Economy Office.

On this occasion, she delivered a presentation titled: "Algeria's Approach to Muslim-Friendly Tourism: Heritage, Diversity, and Opportunities for Cooperation," in which she highlighted the potentials that qualify Algeria to be a distinguished destination for Muslim tourists, given its rich geographical, cultural, heritage, and spiritual diversity, alongside ongoing efforts to develop the tourism sector and improve service quality and vocational training.

She also addressed prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly by forging closer ties between tourism operators, exchanging expertise, organizing familiarization trips, digitally promoting both destinations, and improving air connectivity to encourage tourist flows and foster closer relations between the two peoples.
